With only hours left before we leave 2020 for a hopefully better year, I will put some words down in this blog about my thoughts of the year 2020, which for most Danes have proven to be the year where we realized that no people in any other country on this year have to go through so much just in order to survive the pandemic.

I do not even know if the things we were put through was legal according to Danish law because it feels like whenever something is illegal like the culling of the 17 million minks in Denmark, they get legal if one of the politicians take the word "Covid-19" into their mouth.

A lot of restriction were placed on us. Unlike the Swedes who were allowed to live and die like free people, which many of them did, we were forced into our dark houses to remain there while the politicians took care of their own departments which seemed to have been ready to tumble them from power. They fired many in our intelligens services who have worked with foreign power in an attempt to remodel our society.

I do not know if the people in departments would have done a better job if they had gained power instead of the people in our parliament who sit in a corner in silence while our prime minister rule in absolute power without choosing to take advice in from anyone.

All I know is that we suffer because we cannot go out and live the night as Danes do.

We have compromised all values in our society. That is why I without doubt in my voice honestly can say that we have suffered more than any other population on this planet.

Life is in general hopeless for the people who work in shopping malls, the airports and the entertainment industry. For many everything is lost because in Denmark you very seldom get a real job if you get fired after you have turned 40. Because then you compete with young people who does not have a family to take care of. They can work cheaper and longer. You have lost the competition before you even started.

No. Once you are kicked out from you job at that age, it is called job-training. You might end up doing your old job again but for the unemployment benefit in an arrangement called job-training. That is irony. Being trained for a job, you have done for years!! Absurd? Yes. But very true for many Danes.

So 2020 was everything it should not have been. The virus - Covid-19 from China took us by surprise and we got sucker-punched.

I cannot see how we can prevail from this pandemic. They got us good however is behind the virus. Maybe it just slipped from some kind of laboratory and then the Chinese government saw it as an opportunity to suppress people in parts of their country and cripple the western economy in the process?

What ever the cause was, it worked fine for them.

We on the other hand suffer as no other on the planet suffer.

Will 2021 be better. I doubt it. I will just try to survive it.
